The Tomi Kisaragi of 2188 was one of the 15 residents of the 2188 space colony. She worked as a terraforming researcher for Project Ark, and designed the second phase of the interstellar development project.

Story
Before the Nanomachine Infection
Tomi Kisaragi was terraforming researcher for Shikishima Industries. She was in the proccess of designing the Second Phase of Interstellar Development, which involved changing a planet's atmosphere and climate to suit the needs of humanity.
On the Colony
After escaping the nanomachine incident and boarding the 2188 colony, it can be assumed that Tomi donated her DNA for Project Ark. After vigorous research and simulation testing, she discovered that it took 1,800 years for a type 57B planet to become habitable for humanity. Knowing that she and the other colonists would be long dead by this time, she followed a suggestion from Chihiro Morimura, and created a command ship that monitored the new planet's surface and growth facilities for them.
Death
While it is currently unknown how 2188 Tomi Kisaragi died, it can be inferred that she died before both Ryoko Shinonome and Tetsuya Ida.

Etymology
- The name Tomi means "rabbit" (兎) (to) and "beautiful" (美) (mi).
- Tomi's surname Kisaragi means "second month of the lunar calendar".
