A Mysterious Talking Cat

Fluffy is a non-player character in 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Fluffy is a mysterious talking cat who enters a contract with Megumi Yakushiji, promising he'll grant her wish of saving Juro Kurabe if she carries out a dangerous mission. Fluffy, contrasting his cute appearance, has a snarky attitude. He's often pushy on Yakushiji about their deal and won't hesitate to terminate it if she doesn't do as he asks.

Fluffy is actually the Juro Izumi of Two loops ago (426) and has been projecting himself to Megumi through Juro Kurabe's nanomachines.

He offers a deal with Yakushiji, one where she shoots "witches" with a magical gun in exchange for turning Juro Kurabe back into the Juro Izumi she was in love with. She goes through many struggles time and time again to get the man she loved back, which Fluffy can't help but admire her for. The last time he sees her before the final battle, he empathizes with how what he put Yakushiji through drove her mad, and apologizes that he couldn't fulfill his end of the bargain after all. He originally wanted Kurabe to be similar to himself, but after seeing the lengths Yakushiji went for Juro made Fluffy change his mind. He remarked on how he had some of his humanity left after all, and says he truly felt a father-daughter relationship with her. Since the contract is over now, Fluffy wishes her a happy life with Juro and says goodbye.

Fluffy's goal is to prepare for the incoming Deimos invasion by injecting the Compatible with nanomachines that unlock the game system. While this can buff the kaiju significantly, it also could benefit the compatible. By defeating the Deimos and gaining Meta-Chips from them, the Sentinels can be upgraded to give the compatible a chance at winning by using the game's mechanics.

271	The Little Mastermind	Ei Sekigahara	Sector 4/1985: Kurabe House	Following the boy and girl into the Kurabe House, Ei Sekigahara tries to shoot the strange girl, but Juro Kurabe takes the shot instead. Afterward, a cat sitting on the TV, who appears to be the brains behind it all, talks to Sekigahara. Keitaro Miura hits him, and Sekigahara recalls a memory of Miura.
283	The Final Witch	Megumi Yakushiji	Sector 4/1985: Kurabe House	Megumi Yakushiji questions Fluffy at the Kurabe House. However, upon hearing that she's the final witch, Yakushiji turns the gun on herself and pulls the trigger.

• While it was not depicted on-screen, George Kamitani stated that Ei Sekigahara would've returned to see Fluffy one last time to get shot by the Magical Gun.
• George Kamitani stated that it was fun writing lines for Fluffy, due to his foul mouth.
