Natsuno Minami: How am I doing, Miura-kun? Anything I'm screwing up here?
Keitaro Miura: Doing just fine, Natsuno-san. You're a natural.
Natsuno Minami: This was his last gift to me. I gotta do this right, so I don't let him down.
Natsuno Minami: Don't we have a bunch of bad guys everywhere already? Should we really be deployed all the way out here?
Keitaro Miura: Our Sentinels were designed chiefly for long-range attacks.
Keitaro Miura: I was taught that my primary tactic should be long-distance annihilation. Never give them a chance to close in.
Natsuno Minami: So if they do get too close, that's bad news?
Keitaro Miura: Well, we've got electromagnetic battering rams for both arms in case of close-quarters combat.
Keitaro Miura: But we can't let them surround us. I don't know if we could fight our way out of that.
Natsuno Minami: ...Okay. Got it.
System: Warning. Deimos signatures approaching.
System: Preparing to intercept. Initiating tactical analysis.
Natsuno Minami: They're coming... Miura-kun, they're coming! What do we do? Should we shoot?
Keitaro Miura: Stay calm, Natsuno-san. Get a clear look at the opposing forces.
Keitaro Miura: The enemy may have more numbers than us... but we can hit them all in one fell swoop.
Natsuno Minami: Miura-kun, I'm... I'm kinda shook up here...
Keitaro Miura: We'll be okay... We can use the electromagnetic rounds. Shake them up instead.
Natsuno Minami: Look, Miura-kun! They're coming at us in one straight line!
Keitaro Miura: ...!
Keitaro Miura: ...I'm in the perfect position...


Pierce through packs of kaiju straight ahead with the Main Battery Heavy Railgun.

Natsuno Minami: That was awesome! You got them all in one shot...!
Keitaro Miura: The electromagnetic round has the power of a salvo from 46 cm battleship-mounted cannons.
Keitaro Miura: But a weapon that powerful comes with high energy costs, and high risks to match.
Keitaro Miura: If you don't use it carefully, you might end up out of power at the worst possible moment.
Natsuno Minami: Uh, roger that...!
Natsuno Minami: We got through it...
Keitaro Miura: For a first-time pilot, those were some impressive moves out there.
Natsuno Minami: Couldn't have done it without you, Miura-kun.
System: Warning: Deimos signatures identified. Enemy in range.
Natsuno Minami: What? There's more? How many of these guys are there?
Keitaro Miura: This isn't good... Looks like they're deploying wide-range attackers of their own.
Keitaro Miura: Let me check the Sentinel's data. Maybe we have a dossier in here somewhere.
Keitaro Miura: There we go... A Surface Wrecker? Colloquially called a "Twintail"... Is that all we have?
Natsuno Minami: It's coming, Miura-kun... Do we attack?
Keitaro Miura: Wait, I think we have new enemies inbound... Actually, isn't that...?
Natsuno Minami: Sentinels No. 13 and 15... Are they friendly?
Juro Kurabe: We're activating Aegis. This terminal will close soon.
Natsuno Minami: What? Juro-kun!? You're in a Sentinel, too?
Iori Fuyusaka: It IS you, Nat-chan! We're here to help!
Natsuno Minami: No way! You too, Iori!? What's going on...?
Keitaro Miura: Thank you, Juro-kun. I couldn't have asked for better support.
Juro Kurabe: We have to defend the terminal until the systems activate...
Iori Fuyusaka: Nat-chan, let's do this together!


Tutorial: Support Units

The 2nd-generation model Fuyusaka pilots comes with support units, which are armaments that can be positioned. Once positioned, each support unit automatically takes action until the enemies are destroyed. Select Fuyusaka with the directional pad, then enter the Action menu and choose Sentry Gun.

Tutorial: Intercepting Missiles

Certain enemies, like Twintails, attack from a distance using missiles. Missiles can be evaded by moving or intercepted with attacks. Deal with them in a way that best suits the situation.

Post-Battle Script

Juro Kurabe: Aegis has been activated. The terminal's been closed.
Natsuno Minami: I can't see any more kaiju around... Is that it? Did we beat them?
Iori Fuyusaka: ...Looks like it...
Juro Kurabe: No, this is just the beginning.
Juro Kurabe: If they can't use this terminal, they'll just move on to the next one.
Keitaro Miura: ...If that's true...
Keitaro Miura: The more targets they lose, the more desperate our enemies will get... and the harder they'll fight.
Juro Kurabe: Yeah...
Juro Kurabe: These battles are only going to get tougher.
Natsuno Minami: Seriously...?
