Pre-Battle Script

May 27 10:06 PM
Megumi Yakushiji: Deimos signatures? Look there...
System: Warning: Deimos signatures approaching.
System: Preparing to intercept. Initiating tactical analysis.
Ryoko Shinonome: !?
Ryoko Shinonome: Are those... Sentinels? Are they on our side?
Megumi Yakushiji: They look like 1st-gen models, but they're giving off Deimos signatures...
Renya Gouto: ...Most likely they're the 1st-generation units we lost in the battle at Sector 2.
Ryoko Shinonome: So they were seized and repurposed?
Renya Gouto: Repurposed... Well. It may be more accurate to say they were reset.
Renya Gouto: When we attempted to deploy automated Sentinels... they behaved as if they were Deimos.
Renya Gouto: During the battle at Sector 2, units 1 to 11 were being remotely controlled by me.
Megumi Yakushiji: You piloted 11 units by yourself? At the same time?
Renya Gouto: It wasn't efficient. And the D-forces were clearly influencing their processes and abilities.
Megumi Yakushiji: And that's why we directly control them now. Too many problems with automation...
Renya Gouto: I'd thought they were destroyed in that battle...
Juro Kurabe: I don't know if it's that simple.
Renya Gouto: ...Juro, what do you mean by that?
Juro Kurabe: Look, they're coming... They seem like pretty heavy units. And they've even got the composite ceramic armor.
Ryoko Shinonome: So they're close-quarters Deimos frontliners now... If we don't shut them down, the terminal won't last...

An enemy Sentinel (Gladiator) nullifies all attacks that inflict damage of 300 or lower. Deliver attacks that deal high damage with each blow. To win this battle, you must destroy 7 Gladiators.

Defeating 2/7 Gladiators

System: Confirmed termination of Gladiator Deimos signature.
Juro Kurabe: There's only five enemy Sentinels left.
System: Warning: Deimos signatures approaching. Enemy in range.
System: Preparing to intercept. Initiating tactical analysis.
Renya Gouto: We can't afford to hold anything back.
Renya Gouto: Don't try to take them down by yourself. Stay in close formation and rely on your allies.

Defeating 3/7 Gladiators

System: Confirmed termination of Gladiator Deimos signature.
Ryoko Shinonome: Four to go...
System: Warning: Deimos signatures approaching. Enemy in range.
Megumi Yakushiji: Looks like... we have three more on the way...

Defeating 4/7 Gladiators

System: Confirmed termination of Gladiator Deimos signature.
Ryoko Shinonome: Just three more... Don't let your guard down...
System: Warning: Deimos signatures approaching. Enemy in range.
Juro Kurabe: That should be all of them! Everyone, keep at it!

Defeating 5/7 Gladiators

System: Confirmed termination of Gladiator Deimos signature.
Ryoko Shinonome: Two left... Almost there.

Defeating 6/7 Gladiators

System: Confirmed termination of Gladiator Deimos signature.
Ryoko Shinonome: Now, the last one...

Post-Battle Script

System: Aegis activated. Terminal closure complete.
Tsukasa Okino: Unfortunately... it looks like I was right. Those weren't captured Sentinels.
Tsukasa Okino: These Sentinels's ID codes were all 3 digits... They were newly created as Deimos units.
Takatoshi Hijiyama: They were the same type as the No. 12 I pilot...
Tsukasa Okino: ...Ida-san was the one who put the 1st-gens together. I just helped out.
Tsukasa Okino: The auxiliary stuff was from my design... like the EMPs and the anti-air flares...
Tsukasa Okino: But these things were never meant to have a direct pilot. The original spec had them all automated.
Takatoshi Hijiyama: Explains why the enemy got ahold of them...
Tsukasa Okino: That also means it's got a more unstable connection to its pilot. We had to put a limiter on its functions.
Takatoshi Hijiyama: So its true power is being restrained...? What would happen if that limiter came off?
Tsukasa Okino: You'll get a huge boost to maneuverability, but... it'll put an incredible strain on the pilot, too.
Takatoshi Hijiyama: A small price for new power, and nothing a true son of Japan can't handle.
Takatoshi Hijiyama: Sounds like it might have its advantages, anyway. I'll have to let Sekigahara and Ogata know.
