I can't go on... My head... feels like it's splitting...

The section below contains spoilers for the story of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. It would be ill-advised to scroll without caution if you want to have a blind experience with the game, or have not completed it in its entirety.

Tamao Kurabe brings Kiriko to send off Keitaro. She finds Takatoshi to be there as well and is excited for him to be back. Tamao gifts Keitaro ohagi for him and Takatoshi to share, remarking on how they won't be very sweet due to rations. Keitaro assures and thanks her for the gift. She introduces Kiriko to Takatoshi, who seems to blush at the sight of her. Keitaro makes a promise with Tamao that he'll be back, and tells her to watch over his little sister Chihiro.

She finds Ei Sekigahara in the Sakura High school building, who claims the Kiriko Douji she knows isn't who she says she is, nor does she belong to this world. Tamao questions Sekigahara, asking him if her parents aren't her real parents and if she comes from the future. It would explain why she keeps having these strange dreams of the future. Sekigahara believes it's "Kiriko" who has been altering him memories. Miura wants to turn him into the authorities, but Tamao disagrees. Suddenly, Sekigahara points a gun at her and runs away, stating that he is out of his mind.

At the Kurabe House, Chihiro states that the "ghosts" are smashing up houses, and they just keep coming. She heard this from Tamao, who is likely dreaming about the kaiju attacks. Tamao states has been given foreign medicine by Gouto, and is starting to have strange dreams. Abruptly, a siren starts blazing, warning about incoming air raids. Chihiro and Tamao then prepare to make their way to a bomb-proof shelter.

Natsuno Minami hides while Gouto gives Tamao her monthly supply of pills. Tamao inquires that the pills he has been giving her recently are not the same as the ones she had been taking. The old ones let her see into the future, while these new ones make her feel terrible and cause her to forget her dreams. Gouto urges on her to continue her treatment to get rid of these nightmares. The nightmares don't feel like nightmares to her at all, but Gouto insists for her to keep taking the pills, and then promptly leaves. She then tries to remember her dreams, saying "It's our only hope of survival...the weapon at Ayame Pass..."

Miura looks urgently in the flames after an air raid, desperately trying to find Chihiro and Tamao. After Chihiro and Tamao find and assure him they're all right, they see a Hi-Quad and have to run. They go towards Tokisaka Shrine, believing the Americans are attacking. Miura commands Tamao to look over both Chihiro and Natsuno, and runs off to get the Sentinel. Natsuno chases after him, much to Tamao's surprise.

Gouto travels through the gate and kidnaps Chihiro from Tamao. She inquires on where he's taking her, but doesn't give a response. He apologizes for what he's done to her, but states that she has no reason to worry. Miura then later finds Tamao in critical condition, with no hope of recovery. She tells him that Chihiro had been taken by Gouto, and then disappears.

Takatoshi brings Tamao back to the old school building in 1985 after they got the simulation back online. Takatoshi mentions that Sector 5 is almost back online, and they should take Keitaro back for a visit. Tamao marvels about how far humanity had came in between that time, which gives her hope for rebuilding a new home planet. Okino walks in and embarrasses Hijiyama in front of her, much to her amusement. She notes how Hijiyama must really like Okino. Meeting the Tamao Kurabe of one loop ago, they discuss the miracle that happened in order for the 15 students to win the game.
